We took some of our most commonly asked questions from homeowners across georgia, and stuck them here, for you. because why not make life a little easier.

You've asked.
We've answered.

How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced or just repaired?

If your roof is over 15–20 years old, has missing or curling shingles, repeated leaks, or visible sagging, it’s often better to replace it. If the damage is limited to a small area and the rest of the roof is in good shape, a repair may be enough. A professional roof inspection is the best way to know for sure.

How long does a typical roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements take one day, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather, and any underlying damage that needs to be fixed. Larger or more complex roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim to finish quickly while keeping quality high, and you informed every step of the way.

What roofing materials do you recommend?

For most homes, we recommend asphalt shingles because they are durable, cost‑effective, and come in many colors and styles. Metal, synthetic, and specialty shingles are also options if you want longer life or a specific look. We’ll recommend materials based on your budget, style, and how long you plan to stay in the home.

How long will my new roof last?

A properly installed asphalt shingle roof typically lasts 20–30 years. Premium shingles, metal roofs, and other high‑end materials can last 40–50 years or more. Lifespan depends on product quality, installation, ventilation, and local weather conditions.

Will my homeowners insurance cover a new roof?

Insurance may cover roof damage caused by sudden events like storms, wind, hail, or falling trees. It usually does not cover normal wear and tear or age‑related issues. We can provide photos, documentation, and an estimate to help you with your insurance claim if your damage is storm‑related.

What are the signs of a roof leak?

Common signs include water stains on ceilings or walls, peeling paint, musty odors, damp insulation, and spots where drywall is soft or bubbling. Outside, you might see missing shingles, damaged flashing, or dark patches. Even small leaks can cause big problems over time, so it’s best to address them quickly.

Do you offer free roof inspections or estimates?

Yes, we provide free roof inspections and detailed estimates. We’ll check shingles, flashing, vents, valleys, and attic ventilation, then explain what we found, your options, and pricing before any work begins.

Will a new roof improve my home’s value or energy efficiency?

Yes. A new roof can increase curb appeal and resale value, and modern roofing systems with proper ventilation and underlayment can help improve energy efficiency. That can make your home more comfortable and help your heating and cooling system work more efficiently.

How noisy and disruptive is a roof replacement?

Roof work is loud while crews are removing old materials and installing new ones. There will be hammering and foot traffic on the roof during work hours. We do our best to schedule around your needs and keep the jobsite clean and safe each day.

Do I need to be home while you work on my roof?

You don’t have to be home for the entire project, but we recommend you are available at least at the start and end of the job so we can review details, access, and any questions. We keep you updated throughout the process by phone or text.

What kind of warranty do you offer on roofing work?

We offer both a manufacturer’s warranty on the roofing materials and a workmanship warranty on our installation. We’ll explain the length and coverage of each warranty option with your estimate so you know exactly what’s protected.

How do weather and seasons affect roofing work?

We can install roofs most of the year, but extreme cold, heat, or heavy rain can affect scheduling and installation. We monitor the forecast and schedule your project for the safest window so your new roof is installed correctly and fully sealed.
